OUR STORY Founders Elizabeth & Samson Chu
Chu’s Pearls was started in April 2004 by husband and wife team Samson and Elizabeth Chu. That spring, a trip home to Michigan with a 2 x 2 box of pearl jewelry from China unexpectedly resulted in 4 days and $4000 in sales. Soon the dream to launch a company was born. Returning permanently to the United States from Hong Kong in August 2004 with their life savings invested in new products, business quickly took off, and the couple began looking to share the opportunity with others.
As of October 2008, the company has carried over 4000 unique products, and served thousands of customers. Leading a team of over 15 sales representatives and independent distributors, the company takes part in events large and small all across the Midwest, and has raised thousands of dollars for various charities and service organizations.
